Mercury Emission Continuous Sampler MECS

Continuous measurement of mercury is essential for the control of industrial air emissions and regulatory compliance of facilities subject to pollutant monitoring. The CDL-Tecora Mercury Emission Continuous Sampling System is a continuous mercury sampling solution for industrial smokestacks, designed to ensure reliable, automated measurements in accordance with the CEN TS 17286 standard.

Developed for industrial environmental monitoring applications, this system ensures continuous sampling of flue gases thanks to a fully automated and remotely controllable device.

An automated solution for continuous mercury measurement

Continuous sampling on parallel adsorbent traps

The Mercury Emission Continuous Sampling system performs a continuous sampling of mercury using two preconditioned parallel adsorbent traps.

This technology ensures:

excellent measurement reliability,
continuous monitoring of emissions,
a high sampling stability,
compliance with regulatory requirements

Compliance with CEN standard TS 17286

The system is fully compliant with the standard:

CEN TS 17286

This compliance allows for use in regulatory campaigns monitoring industrial mercury emissions.

Fully automated long-term sampling

The system allows continuous measurement campaigns:

from 15 minutes to 4 weeks,
without a complete disassembly of the sampling unit,
with reduced maintenance.

The replacement of sampling tubes is quick and simplified in order to optimize operations on industrial sites.

Remote monitoring and automated control

Remote control via 3G/4G network

The Mercury Emission Continuous Sampling includes a remote control solution that allows:

the monitoring of direct debit operations,
system control,
the monitoring of operating parameters.

This connectivity improves the management of environmental measurement campaigns.

Flow measurement via pitot tube

The system can integrate an optional flow measurement by Pitot tube to improve the control of gas volumes taken.

Robust industrial design for atmospheric emissions

Outdoor installable picking unit

The sampling unit can be installed directly on an industrial chimney and started quickly without a long preparation phase.

High-strength materials

All materials in contact with gas flows are suitable for demanding industrial applications:

  • glass for the sampling tubes,
  • titanium or stainless steel for the probe elements.

This design ensures:

  • excellent chemical resistance,
  • low maintenance,
  • great durability.
